Dear Diary,

Converse is a small town. You know the kind. One blink while driving through and you might miss it entirely. One grocery store. No stop lights at all. Everyone knows everyone else, and new neighbors are the talk of the town for years. Converse is one of those towns. In one word, boring.

... but not really.... Converse has a secret.

You can find different legends about werewolves in every culture, all with differing opinions on the level of danger to humans. The residents of Converse can tell you the truth... but they probably won't. You see, Converse is home to an entire pack of werewolves. Almost every single resident is either one of them, or knows about them. Don't ask me how I know this. It's not a pretty story. Let's just say I learned the hard way.

And here's the real kicker...

Not everyone is convinced that werewolves can keep themselves safe. There are some within Converse and the surrounding communities who believe the werewolves are out to turn us all and take over the world. Okay, so maybe they don't believe that exactly, but you get the point. They think werewolves are dangerous and unpredictable. They might be right about that, but its not for me to decide. In reality, they just want to keep their families safe. Who am I to judge?

But what are you supposed to do when you find out your best friend turns into a four-legged furball once a month? Your teacher? What if its a family member?

Who will you be?

The werewolf pack is determined to remain anonymous, even if they can't remain a secret. While people know they exist, nobody but themselves and a few trusted humans know who is a werewolf and who isn't. Jason, the Alpha of the pack, it determined to keep it this way. Secrecy is their only protection. But how do you keep an entire group of werewolves a secret when the aggression kicks in?

Hunters have it pretty bad. Their town is infested with supernatural creatures that revel in preying upon humanity. Werewolves are an infestation that need to be exterminated, but how do you catch them? Even if a hunter thinks someone might be a werewolf, how do they tell? And what happens when someone you know, someone you trust... is one of them?

Being a human in Converse is a little dangerous... depending on who you ask. Some humans are in denial that werewolves even exist. Some are rooting for the hunters, and others have befriended the werewolves to discover that they're not quite as dangerous as everyone says they are... or are they?
