appearance;; Charlie doesn't dress to stand out. While in school, the boy just wanted to fit in... so, he tried his best to do just that; he wore the latest fashions and kept himself well groomed, but he never dared to promote his own fashion ideas. Even now that he's out of high school, Charlie still fears rejection from his peers. He continues to try dressing relatively well for his age, though he's often stuck with whatever clothes he can find hanging around in the forest. Despite his attempts to remain normal looking at best, Charlie does have a fairly handsome appearance. His eyes are a deep brown and his hair is often "delightfully" messy. He's not the tallest guy around - 5'11 - but he carries himself with good posture... when he's not cowering that is.
In wolf form (seen here), Charlie has some rather unusual markings, as if his wolf was determined on making him stand out against his will. He's a light brown wolf, save for a blotch on his back and the tip of his muzzle. His paws are lightly colored as are his eyes: golden and expressive. But he's not a very large wolf: 4'10 last time he measured. He'd like to say that he'll probably grow another inch or two. G'luck Charlie.
personality;; Charlie is what you might call a destined omega. He's soft spoken, sweet, and often disapproves of the eat-or-be-eaten werewolf mentality. His submissive personality developed through years of living in his sisters' shadows. They were the outgoing ones, the alphas of high school, the year long prom queens. Charlie was Charlie: book loving and awkward. It quickly became apparent to the young male that he would never be able to compete with the triplets on the teenage social ladder. He needed to either join the ranks of nerds and accept whatever bullying he was dealt, or hide away from the judgement of others. Charlie chose the latter. The outcast of a teen sunk into the background, avoided arguments, and became a wallflower meets bookworm hybrid. It is for these reasons that Charlie feels most comfortable in the omega position.
But even as the pack omega, Charlie has his strong spots. He's what you might call a "mediator," or - as Charlie likes to refer to himself - a modern day super hero. Whether he know the persons in question or not, he is quick to intervene in violent situations. It's Cal's duty to protect the pack. It's Charlie's duty to protect Cal from his own violent impulses. But when he can't stop the conflict from occuring... well, that's when Charlie starts to panic. He's a highly sensitive individual - especially for a male - and is quick to burst into tears when faced with an outer or inner dilemma.
family;; Joshua Terrance Greene/ father/ forty-nine/ principal
Heather Brynn Greene/ mother/ forty-seven/ kindergarten teacher
Lydia Ivy Greene/ sister/ twenty-two/ teacher's assistant
Lela Daisy Greene/ sister/ twenty-two/ waitress
Liliana Rose Greene/ sister/ twenty-two/ secretary
history;; He wasn't born the first child. Nor was he the second child. Not even the third child. Charlie Evan Greene - born June 8, 1993 - was the fourth, and last child of the Greene family. Before him came his three sisters... triplets, actually; all of which were given charming little names that matched so perfectly together. They were in unison. They were attached from the beginning. And Charlie... was just Charlie. He was the boy, the son, the "oh yeah they have a brother" sort of guy. Before he could even open his eyes, the youngest child of the Greene family was destined to be an outsider in a paradise land: San Diego, California. His werewolf parents - Joshua and Heather Greene - established a seemingly cushy lifestyle for their four children. They lived on the beach, in a two story house, and supported by an expansive inheritance courtesy of Charlie's grandparents. But he wasn't happy, not even amongst life's most valuable materials.
Charlie's sisters set a path before him that was too difficult to follow. They were the valedictorians, the clique founders, the team captains. The triplets flounced around school liked the owned the place... and they might as well have. Charlie could never measure up to them. He wasn't extraordinary with sports, academics (he enjoyed reading but could never write essays very well), or social matters. He was Charlie, and apparently just being Charlie wasn't enough to meet the expectations of other children. So while his sisters glided through school - all three glued at the hip - their brother remained within his small circle of friends (many of which were outcasts like himself). Then every new school year, his teachers would great him with the same question: "hey, aren't you related to the triplets?" He barely acknowledged them with a nod. However, Charlie was rarely one to lash out at people. His troubles in the teenage hierarchy instead turned him submissive, shy, and occasionally awkward. He was more likely to sit in the bathroom stall and read rather than make a scene.
As people who invested themselves in a profession revolving around kids, one would think the parents of Charlie would have noticed his problems. But that was exactly their problem. They were more involved in other people's kids than their own. Lela, Lydia, and Liliana only received special attention because they participated in important school events. Charlie was lucky enough to be warned about his upcoming first shift... hell, he was lucky he told them that he was a werewolf in the first place!
Charlie was the late bloomer of the family, and that included his first shift. He shifted at home - thank God - after all three of his sisters started to gang up on him and question why he'd never had a girlfriend before. In an unexpected fit of rage, he shifted and proceeded to chase them out of the bedroom with jaws snapping and fur bristling. His parents didn't look too kindly on that. So rather than get a congratulations for finally shifting, Charlie was grounded for the remainder of his first shift. But it wasn't like the young werewolf - sixteen at the time - could go anywhere. There wasn't a forest near their house, and the beach was too public. Hiding under the bed was about as good as it got.
It wasn't until he'd set out to go camping (he wanted somewhere calm and peaceful to decompress for a day) that he came in contact with hunters. Apparently, one of the oh-so-perfect triplets wasn't as perfect as she appeared. Lela Greene - the most temperamental of the children - accidentally shifted her eyes and teeth in public after getting into a spat with another girl. Unlucky for her, a hunter was nearby and had the audacity to follow the girl home. He spied on the family, including Charlie. He even followed the four siblings home from school! But it wasn't until now - when Charlie was alone in an atmosphere he knew little about - that the hunter chose to strike.
Charlie could taste dirt on his tongue. He felt something wet drip down his neck. His head was throbbing. "Whaa... OW!" The pain was delayed, but so intensely strong that his vision blurred briefly. The confused teen grabbed at the back of his bleeding head and attempted to see his attacker; standing above him was a man of about forty, holding a bloody rifle. He was sending Charlie the ultimate death glare, and the poor kid didn't even understand why. "I never cut you off! I... I can't drive." Charlie frantically searched for more answers as to why this man could be so.. violent towards him. It didn't even cross his mind that just being a werewolf could provoke someone into murderous rage. "And I never slept with your girlfriend, fiance, wife.. whatever! I didn't do it! P-pleeease!" He plead desperately, still confused as to what was happening. The hunter growled in response - as if he was the real animal - and drew back his gun. He was going to use it as a club! Charlie stared up in horror as he recognized the man's violent intentions.
Blood spattered his face... and it wasn't his own. Charlie's cheeks grew pale as he watched the hunter's demise at the hands of a mysterious werewolf. By the time the hunter stopped moving, Charlie was crying without restraint; he'd never seen someone die before, let alone a death as gruesome as this! For almost ten minutes, Charlie was inconsolable. He screamed at Callum - the mystery wolf - until his voice grew hoarse. He called him a murderer and a demon, but as he replayed what had happened... he became thankful. This wolf - violent as he may have appeared - was like some guardian angel. Charlie had never had someone to really protect him before. Sure his parents kept him fed and all, but they never stepped in to help him. Not even his friends had the guts to help Charlie. In mere minutes of meeting Cal, a look of adoration and amazement had already manifested in the young teen's eyes.
When the wolf finally shifted back, he and Charlie talked very briefly: they gave their names, and Cal told the younger male to get home safely. But he didn't want to go home. As if struck by some sort of truth, Charlie followed Cal. How could he go back to a home where he was constantly looked over? This werewolf... he'd saved him. And even if it was only for a brief moment, he'd shown more care than his family ever had. Charlie didn't feel like such an outcast. In a sudden impulsive moment, Charlie left his family - he only gave them a brief phone call to explain himself - and followed Cal to Converse, South Dakota. Along his travels he became closer to the older male, and eventually he found himself able to use the term friend without getting his head smacked. For an outcast like Charlie... this was heaven. And when Cal started his own pack (Walizi Pack) in Converse, Charlie was grateful to join... even if he did become the pack's omega because of his naturally submissive behavior. He was determined to serve Cal forever in payment for saving his life.
It was hardly barely a year ago that the alpha pushed past the point of friendship. Charlie - unaware of his sexuality of the time - was frightened when a drunk Cal wandered home and put the moves on him. But after he gave into the alpha's desires, he felt an intense love for the other that could not be ignored. About a week later - and after a storm of conflicting emotions - they started dating. Charlie is now a living breathing example of the classic alpha and omega love story.
