appearance;;
In human form, Carson isn't too tall or too short for a female. She stands at a whole five foot seven inches. Her skin is tan, but nothing of the tanning salon status. She has a natural glow from all her time spent out doors. She doesn't bother much with make up, so her skin tends to keep itself without many flaws. For her, dressing up and wearing make up is wearing just mascara and eye liner. Chapstick however is her lips best friend. There has been very rare occasions that she has slapped a burst of color across her lips, and we are talking very rare. Her eyes are a bright blue, that sometimes can come across with a green hue. It really depends on the light and what colors she is wearing at the time. Her hair is long, the longest part reaching the small of her back. Its color is blonde, which turns more golden during the winter while during the summer its lighter and almost seems high lighted (though don't ever accuse her of it. She would never dye her hair). She has one scar that is very dominate on her, which is on her back. Just under her neck, she has a bite mark, from where the werewolf who changed her bit her.
Her personal style is very casual. She doesn't wear crazy graphic tee shirts or need designer jeans. She is comfortable in a plain colored tee or tank and just any pair of shorts or jeans that fit. She even has been known to venture out in sweat pants and a tank top as well. If she's comfortable, thats all that matters. And if she is in a rare mood, you might find her in a dress. But you are more likely to find her wearing lip stick than you will find her in a dress or a skirt. Carson is a bare foot kind of girl, she would rather be running around without shoes. You know, being nature and stuff. And she's been that way even before she was bitten. Though if she must, there are one of two shoes you will find her in; either sandles or her cowboy boots. Yes, she does own a pair and she loves them very much.
With her blonde hair, she normally keeps it down in its natural form, which is wavy. She doesn't fuss with it much. Though on days where it doesn't want to coroperate, she will braid it back or pull it into a pony tail. Which is why she always wears a hair band around her wrist. Now in wolf form, you could probably guess that she has a thick blonde coat, which you are right. A sandy blonde coat covers her other form when she shifts. She stands smaller than her human height, but not by much. Her shoulders reaching five foot four inches. Her eyes still a shocking blue and she has a set of razor sharp teeth that she is not afraid to use. She is a slender wolf, definitely not bulky. And even though she doesn't look threatening, she is very quick and vicious if she need be.
personality;;
She is the youngest of 3 brothers, so they taught her to be tough. And that was one thing this girl was. She was brave enough to stand up for herself when her brothers tried to take her toys from her, yelling at them and having the courage to not back down when they threatened her either. Of course they wouldn't hurt her but 3 older boys looking down at you can kind of be intimidating. They taught her that crying was not something anyone wanted to deal with. So when she would start to cry, she would get a "Suck it up!", which she did. But that didn't harden her little heart. Even though her brothers were tough on her, they would sometimes cave and give in to the little blue eyes that would look up at heart. They could never find it in themselves to break her spirits. So she was a little fire cracker for sure.
She can handle jokes and has no problem firing them back. She loves to laugh and make others laugh, so for the most part, she is a light hearted person. She doesn't want people to be upset but she isn't one to go around kissing butt either. She feels that everyone should be able to stand on their own two feet and be happy with themselves enough that if anyone tries to put them down, it just makes them feeling pathetic. She just is a tough little girl as well. She has always been "one of the guys" in a way, though she feels like she can be quite a girl as well. Just in the fact that she likes sappy romance novels and movies. And cries during soft movies.
family;;
- Jared Mark Ostein - Father - 48
She is somewhat close with her father. He is a hard working, blue collared man who loves his family deeply. He taught her how to take care of herself and never have to really rely on a man. Though he never discouraged her from dating.- Serenity Janice Ostein - Mother - 47
Her mother died when she was seven years old, so she didn't know her too well. Though from what she remembers, she was a loving mother with a bright smile.- Robert Micheal Ostein - Brother - 26
Robert, or Robbie, is the eldest brother. He lives out of state but keeps in touch with the family by sending letters and pictures of him and his family. Which consists of him, his wife, and two children.- Parker Jon Ostein - Brother - 24
Parker is the second oldest, and the closest with Carson. He is very protective of his little sister and loves her deeply. He actually lives just a few apartments down from Carson. So they do weekly dinners together and have movie nights. She watches his back the most.- Thomas Eric Ostein - Brother - 22
Thomas, or Tommy, took off as soon as he turned 18 and left the family. They haven't heard from him since then.
history;;
As a young child, Carson was always stumbling around trying to keep up with her older brothers. She wanted to hang around with them, even when they didn't want her to. But they were all she had. Her parents used to lecture the boys, telling them that you never know how long you or your siblings will be here on the earth, so you might as well enjoy the time you have with them now. Which when they were younger they never understood. None of them really did until they had lost their mother one summer afternoon. Their parents had been hiding from them that she had cancer, and when she passed away it was hard on all of them. Especially their father. For a year, they lived with their grandparents while their father figured everything out and got himself back under control. He didn't handle the loss very well. And the children didn't either but they somehow found a way to continue on in their little lives.
As a teenager, Carson was always the girl who was sort of the ring leader of her friends. She wasn't a popular girl, but she got along with a lot of people. Though she mainly found herself hanging around the guys, only because her brother's friends were normally hers as well. She was one of the few girls who would go out and toss the football around with them, or go out swimming in the middle of the night. She wasn't afraid of much, and she was always curious to learn new things. Which was one of the reasons she picked up archery in her younger years. She loved how relaxing it could be, how she could just sit there for hours shooting a target. She had even picked up going hunting with her father, something that only the two of them did. They would just sit there next to each other for house, bonding in a silent way.
When she was sixteen years old, during a crisp fall day, she had decided she would go out shooting for the afternoon. It wasn't odd for the girl to disappear for hours on end into the woods behind her house. She brought her bow, some arrows, and an arm guard and made her way deep into the forest. She found her old target and set it up, starting to practice her aim that was already spot on. She kept her ears open for any movement, and she thought she was alone. But little did she know, she wasn't. A wolf stood behind, her staring her down. She was startled when a stick snapped behind her. Her bow was already drawn back when she spun around to come hand to nose with the wolf. Its coat as dark as night and its eyes piercing. She couldn't believe how large it was, and her first instinct was to release the arrow and run. When she glanced at her bow, she gave the wolf a hint as to what she was about to do and it dodge the arrow as it came shooting out of her hand.
She scrambled as she turned, running as fast as she could back towards her house. Unfortunately, she barely made it twenty feet before she was tackled to the ground. She screamed when her front hit the ground, blood filling in her mouth as she struggled under the huge mass on top of her. The wolf snarled at her, and she froze. "Maybe if I don't move, it'll leave me alone" she thought. Though it was too late. She felt razor sharp teeth bite into her back, which caused a large scream to rip from her throat. She felt the hot blood rush over her back and she cried. "I'm going to die here" she thought to herself as she felt the wolf leave her body. It nudged her over and stared into her eyes, that were red and full of tears. It didn't growl or say anything, but it cocked its head to the side before turning and running off. Leaving her to die on her own. Or so she thought.
When she came to, she realized she was laying in a bed that wasn't her's. And the room was one she did not recognize. She panicked trying to sit up and realizing that was a horrible idea. She let out a groan of pain as she laid back down. She laid there for a moment, the memories flooding back to her before the door opened. An older woman stood there with a male trailing right behind her. Carson found out that they were the ones who found her, and took her back to their place in Converse, which was about an hour outside her home city. They sat down and explained to her everything. About how she was attacked by a stray and how they understand what she was and wanted to help her. Of course, being the stubborn girl she was, she didn't believe them. She bolted, or at least tried to. The male made it to the door before she did and blocked her in.
They finally let her go home, but told her they'd be keeping and eye on her. Which they did. The woman, who she learned was a Gamma in the Orion pack. Her name was Cynthia. Once Carson had come to terms with what she was, and realized she needed help, she reached out to Cynthia who willingly took her under her wing. She became her mentor and watched over her as if she was her own child. It was different, suddenly Carson felt like she had a mother. Or at least a mother figure in her life. Once Carson turned 18, she moved into Converse, so she could be closer with the pack that took her in. She got a job at the local restaurant in town as a waitress and lives in a nice little apartment on the outside of town. She is a hard working part of the pack as well, definitely able to hold her own and keep herself out of trouble. Though recently Carson lost Cynthia because of a hunter, so she is dealing with the loss not so well.
