appearance;; Petite in stature and build and though, while skinny, her muscle build-up is pretty scant. It is there, but it’s lean and scarcely shows. Instead her body appears simply skinny, flat – nothing too showy. In fact, her arms are the only part of her that show her muscular structure. Her stomach is flat; just flat, and boobs virtually non existent. But hey, baby got back. Not really, it just...popshas a nice shape. Her legs are long and slender and are arguably her best feature. Her neck is skinny and flows normally into her narrow shoulders. Her face is very angular. There’s structure to it that give in a generally oval shape with a defined jawline. Overall, easy on the eyes with decently poreless skin. Her eyes are very almond shaped and a liquid-cocoa brown color. In the sunlight they glow with a mahogany-red hue. She has a mane on her; a thick tangle of uneven layers upon her head. It’s considerably a soft-black with underlying tones and colors of dark-chocolate brown that show more readily in the sun. But, by far the most noticeably thing about her is her collage of colorful tattoos strewn about her body.
In her wolf-form, she’s got fur that contrasts her mop of dark tangles. Silvery-gray fur, thick and plush and healthy. Lighter, whiter highlight areas on her face and legs with darker gray and black markings that go from her nose, to her forehead and pepper her back until near her tail-end where it gets predominately black along the upper-half and tail – white at the very end. The stature of her in wolf-form is similar to her in human; lean, tall-ish (but well in the average range) with an overall unimpressive muscular physique. Her eyes are the same in both forms, simply glow more in wolf-form.

personality;; First impressions are always ambiguous; what is expressed on the outside and seen on the inside are often unclear: foggy. What we want others to think - to see - of us is sometimes very different. Payton, though, she's something else. She tries so little, could give less f*cks and 'let's it all hang out', so to speak. She is a hot mess, an energetic ball of chaos, devilishly flirty, devious, girly and boyish all at once with the mouth of a sailor and harboring questionable tendencies but, somehow, she pulls it off in a charismatic, charming sort of way that make her likeable - hell, loveable, even.
Payton is a free-spirit; not peppy-annoying free-spirit, but a wandering, can’t be tied down free-spirit. She believes in things greater than herself - not religion - but the power of visualization and positive energy. Ever since age thirteen she’s been on the move, and while she stays for a few years, she feels restless if she’s not constantly busy and moving. She’s found a home in White Pines, but even so, Payton is always busy doing something. She loves boys, and dreams of one day being married, but she has a hard time taking relationships serious; she seems indifferent about them and doesn’t understand when someone gets upset or jealous as she never feels that when in a relationship herself. As for kids? Not in her lifetime. She isn’t good with responsibility, has the patience of a gnat.
She has always been described as spunky. She has a presence about her—if she’s in the room, you’ll know; her personality is as contagious as her smiles. She has fire and fight embedded in her DNA and doesn’t know the meaning of ‘humbled silence.’ If this woman is pissed you bet your ass she’s going to say something. If she doesn’t like something, she’ll do something about it. She’s one of those people you like to have around, but at the same time, embarrasses you because she won’t let something go. More than once she has gotten free meals when out to eat because she’s complained about the service. She’s shockingly honest in a blunt, round-a-bout rude way. She hates when people beat around the bush and can’t just say what’s on their mind.
Socially she's okay. She likes to talk and finds it comes naturally for her. However, she has a twisted crazy cruel mind and prefers to play jokes on others more than anything. Already practicing for the day she's a senile old women, Payton loves to change topics abruptly and stop in mid-sentence to say something completely random and pointless; basically, Payton acts on impulse and just runs with it. She's like that with a lot of aspects in her life, especially when it comes to fun crazy ideas. She's the girl that will drag your ass across town to skinny dip in the fountain or stick dollar bills in the pockets of new pants at the mall.
When it comes to new things Payton is the first to volunteer. She’s very enthusiastic about life, feeling that she herself has been given a second chance, and has opted to say ‘yes’ to as much as possible. It makes her exceedingly exciting to be around and the number one ‘go-to’ person for new ventures. She is involved with almost everything around town and in school, and while she’s not always friendly or always in the best mood, she is well known. She has her own way of tackling problems or new things; because she almost never says no a lot of new, unknown things are thrown at her. Instead of taking time to stop and think, Payton prefers to tackle things head on and learn as she goes. She makes a lot of mistakes but brushes it off and says ’I just take the scenic route to the solution.’
She can be extremely bull-headed and stubborn. If she gets her mind set on something it’s damn near impossible to change her mind. She’s determined and will try even against failure. All the failure does affect her as she is low on patience and that’s when her temper flares. She has a quick-to-flare temper, and though she’ll deny it, she can get belligerent and rash when in a mood. Growing up with an elder brother, then on her own for so long, Payton has learned to deal with things in her own way and that way is to fight. Throw a few punches, make a fuss, scream and she’s back to normal. She believes she’s a loose cannon that can’t be tamed and has all but sworn that all men in her life will be just friends. Don’t get her wrong, she’s a wicked flirt, but she leaves it at that. It’ll take something special, she says, to change her mind.
Because of past events she can be a wild card – unpredictable, irrationally emotional, and cautious. Though mostly bold and adventurous, Payton does have a shy, untrusting side. While she makes friends easy and finds social settings comfortable, she has a hard time letting things go past that, letting people get close to her; it explains her way of showing love and her choice in relationships. She has this little, emotional quirk that causes her to cry unbelievably easy. Whenever she tries to confront a figure out authority, she cries. It’s not because she’s scared or can’t do it, she has no problem with it, but for some reason or another she cries. She often begins with a disclaimer of “Ignore the tears.” This side of her deals a lot with her childhood and lack of stable parents and ties in a great deal with her alcoholic tendencies. Her vice to escape her troubles is liquor, and lots of it. She has no problem with the consumption, but when drunk, she is prone to questionable behaviors. It’s not uncommon that, during these times, that she breaks down. When she does, it’s quite the show.
family;;
Ezra Jaynes – father. As a child Payton adored her dad and remained very close to him with the lack of a mother and interested siblings. It wasn’t until Payton grew older and was wise to the way world worked, and the truth about her mother, that she realized her father was a terrible, mentally instable and corrupt man. At age thirteen Payton left home and has not spoken to, or heard any word of her father. As far as she knows he still resides over his pack in Montana.
Emma Montihue – mother. Payton’s mother left when soon after Payton was born, or escaped, would be the term Payton would later use upon finding out the truth. Since she never knew, nor has ever found her mother, they have no relationship. She does not harbor any ill feelings towards her mother, though, and instead finds herself respecting the strength she believed she showed.
Schuyller Jaynes – older brother. Not much can be said about her brother. He’s three years her elder and were not close as children. As they grew older, into their teen years, they began interacting and talking more and developed a closer relationship, but nothing extreme. Payton could never tell if he was enamored by, or afraid of their father. Either way, when Payton made the decision to leave she could not get Schuyller to come with. She wants to contact her brother but doesn’t know if he’s still in Montana with their father (whom she doesn’t want knowing of her whereabouts) or if he left, so no contact has been made.
history;; While Payton names Whitefish, Montana as her hometown, she was born and raised some distance outside of Whitefish. The town itself is surrounded by forest, mountains and protected national parks; it is somewhere in the miles of forest that Payton called home – Whitefish just happened to be the nearest town. Her family had a surprisingly large house, a ranch, on quite a number of acres. Spread out around the land were other, smaller houses. It was like a community built entirely out of pack members. In the beginning, Payton remembered loving it. She was given endless freedom as a young child, but as she grew older, she realized something was off about the place. First off, Payton didn’t have a mother. Her father, Ezra, had always told her she had died. But the older she got the more the pack whispered. The truth was that her father, the pack leader, had refused to take a mate – the alpha female. Instead he had harbored a great love for Payton’s mother, Emma. She had haughtily refused his advances; she didn’t want a life in the middle of nowhere. It was like a cult to her, a strict cult ruled by hierarchy that didn’t allow for social growth. In today’s day and age it was ridiculous. Still, Ezra had a following and didn’t like the embarrassment and more or less kidnapped Emma.
The end result, Payton knew, was her and her older brother Schuyller. It was a hard pill to swallow when she finally learned the truth, and immediately all her feelings about the place, and about her father, changed. She, like her mother, wanted nothing to do with a society like the one she was living in. And it only got worse. Her dad was obviously mentally instable to create a society such as that and to physically force others against their will came up with wild and barbaric ideas. The thing that finally became the last straw for Payton was when he began pitting his pack members against each other – in wolf form – for dog fights, more or less. Her brother was seriously injured in one such event, and unable to convince him to abandon their father, Payton left on her own.
At the time she was thirteen. She had just recently began phasing into wolf-form and it was a trying and hard time in her life, made worse by living alone and on the run. At first she traveled by hitch-hiking and headed west into Idaho, Washington, and down into Oregon. Her phasing became more frequent and, unable to control it, Payton feared for the safety of others. There was an instance when she found herself unable to phase back into her human form and fled, in wolf form, to the Canadian border. At the time she was then fifteen. She skirted that for months and chanced upon another young werewolf. His name was Quinton, and he was eighteen. Finding mutual benefits in travel together the two paired up. It was him who taught Payton about her heritage and what would become of her living as a werewolf. He wasn’t experienced but taught her all he knew. They lived off the grid for roughly a year before Quinton convinced her to move back to civilization with him. Feeling as though she had more control over herself Payton agreed.
Together, now sixteen and nineteen, they moved to Idaho, then Wyoming, then to California. It was in California that their travels came to an end together. Payton had allowed her feelings of friendship and respect to blossom into love, Quinton didn’t return the feelings, and instead fell in love with a human girl in California. To him Payton was more of a little sister, but that stung Payton. And what stung more was that it was a human. She was naïve at only eighteen, he was all she knew – she trusted him. It was, perhaps, a stupid move, but she was hurt and emotional and had a temper. She left and never looked back. Traveling alone at eighteen proved to be more difficult by relying on truck drivers, but she eventually made it in one piece to Converse. It was here she made a home for herself. She had a reserve of money, Quinton and herself worked in the years they were traveling together – odd jobs, mostly - but never had anything to spend it on. She managed to purchase a small trailer home and get herself a GED through online courses. She held down various jobs: waitressing mostly, which eventually led to bartending. She quotes herself good with cars and would offer her skills up to strangers, too. With that and the help of financial aid she put herself through state college and very recently graduated with a degree in biology and a minor in archeology (it’s her childish dream to travel and explore the unexplored, find treasure, and look into mysterious leads such as big foot and the likes all over the world).
