Carson made his way through the trees easily, following a set of trails that seemed to have more of a pattern to them than most. He'd been across this forest a couple times, and the only explanation he could think of was that there were two packs in town now instead of one. Well, that might make things more complicated. He followed the scents to a large manor house, and as soon as the building was in sight, he stopped. These damned wolves better appreciate what he was doing for them and how much he was putting on the line by warning them. He raised his voice to carry so it could be heard inside the house. "I'd like to speak to your alpha." And now he waited.

Laying on the couch like a lazy bum, tossing a baseball into the air and catching it again repeatedly, Cal sighed heavily. Nobody else was home, he'd sent them on patrol. Why? Because Cal was too lazy to do anything at the moment. There was nothing to watch on TV, he was out of raw meat to eat, not that he didn't eat people food but the raw meat was more appetizing to Cal that regular people food. Why? Because Cal went by wolf instincts and his wolf's stomach, not his human instincts and human stomach. Then he heard a voice, requesting the alpha of Walizi. He looked toward the door and the baseball fell onto his face. "Gah! Dammit!" He hissed and put the baseball aside and stood up, going outside and standing on the porch. "And why would you like to speak to the alpha?" He wasn't sure who this guy was, so he wasn't just going to give away that he was the alpha. Not yet.

Carson heard a faint curse from inside the house and wondered if there was going to be trouble. It didn't worry him. He knew how to handle himself in a fight. The government had made sure of that. Still, he stood as ready as possible as a figure came outside and stood on the porch. "And why would you like to speak to the alpha?" Carson took a couple steps forward out of the tree line, but kept his distance. He just wanted a better look at the guy he was talking to. "Because he's about to have trouble, that's why." Carson sighed. "Look, I'm just here to give a warning. After the eclipse awhile back, the United States government is poking around Converse, investigating rumors of werewolves. Just tell your alpha to watch his back." He didn't really want more people than necessary to know his job, but this was a special case. "I work for the CIA, so I'll try to keep them off you guys from my end. Just see he gets the message." With that, Carson turned to leave. He did his part.

Callum watched the guy warily. Listening to his every word. He already knew about the CIA cocksuckers coming into town and questioning people at random. He walked forward to face the man. "What's your name?" He asked calmly and in a polite tone, watching the guy. "And if your CIA, why are you trying to protect my pack?" He growled softly, revealing that he was in fact the alpha. He sighed softly before reluctantly giving his own name. "The name's Callum." He said cautiously, watching the other male. "And I'm the alpha."

Carson knew he was being closely watched. He'd done enough watching closely recently to know the look. Besides, he knew he wasn't welcome here. Only an idiot would be comfortable with a stray just showing up at their sanctuary. He was careful to keep his tone neutral, his hands hanging calmly at his sides, though he knew he could move in a heartbeat if necessary. "Carson." And that's all this guy was getting, especially when he was this close. Carson had a fairly large personal bubble, and he schooled himself to remain relaxed, at least on the outside. He waited until the guy, apparently the alpha in question, was completely done before answering. It confused him that it wasn't obvious why he was trying to protect them. "Can you imagine what the government would do if they knew werewolves were real? It would be mass chaos. Anarchy. On both sides. Trust me, I'm not just looking out for your pack. I'm looking out for everyone." Even himself.

Cal raised a brow at the man. "Your a werewolf. That works for the CIA. Who don't really have any solid proof of our existence... And you work for them..." Yeah, Cal just implied this guy was pretty stupid. Nonetheless, the alpha gave a soft sigh and rubbed the back of his neck. "Will you keep me updated on their progress?" He asked with a soft tone. "I want my pack to remain safe and out of the CIA's fingers." He added. Cal wanted nothing more than to keep his pack safe and healthy and out of harm's way. He'd hate himself if anything happened to any one of his pack. Especially Charlie.

Carson struggled not to go on the defensive when Callum basically called him stupid. He'd been trained well enough not to rise to the occasion... completely. "One might think to have a bit of caution around someone who was capable of just that." It wasn't a threat, not completely. Merely a statement of fact. Since being bitten, Carson didn't flaunt his power like he used to, but sometimes the situation just called for it. Besides, he wasn't really flaunting. It was a friendly warning, just as the rest of his message was. "I'll keep you as updated as I can." Carson, despite hating werewolves and thus himself, didn't want anyone getting hurt. He had a better understanding of what he was now than he had as a hunter. Some wolves were actually innocent, and those lives would be at risk too.

Cal raised a brow, was this fucker threatening him? Was he threatening his pack!? Cal had a mind to shoot the bastard in the face. But maybe the guy was right. Maybe he could help keep Walizi safe with updates about what the CIA was doing. He sighed softly. "My apologies, Carson." He said softly, watching the other wolf. Callum nodded with a soft smile. "Thank you, Carson. I really appreciate you wanting to help keep my wolves safe. Thank you for your assistance." And with that, Cal stood there another moment, seeing if Carson had more to say.

Carson watched Callum raise an eyebrow and knew his message had been received. He saw that the alpha took it as a threat. So Carson waited. Either the guy would attack or he wouldn't and nothing was going to change that. His muscles tensed involuntarily, readying himself, but an attack never came. Instead, the alpha apologized. Smart move. Still, something inside Carson ached for the fight. He recognized that something and stomped on it. Hard. Now wasn't the time. Never was the time. "No harm done. I should get back to you within a week or two, once I get something solid on how progress is going." With that, he turned to leave. Under normal circumstances, he might have added a "nice to meet you" on the end, but these weren't normal circumstances. This had been a meeting of strangers to exchange information that shouldn't even exist. There was no "nice to meet you" about it.
