MAYBE I'M A DIFFERENT BREED
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 355px;] — River was getting tired of chasing down this one werewolf. It had already attacked a human, killing the boy girl. Once she heard about it, the hunter inside of her came alive. She had been tracking him the best she could for the past four days, and every time the Werewolf would just be two steps ahead of her. It was frustrating and she was ready to put a bullet between his or her eyes. Luck was on her side today, and she got news from another hunter that the werewolf she wanted was headed along the river and wasn't moving to fast. Meaning she would have time to catch up with the beast before he or she got too far from her. She grabbed her black leather jacket from her chair and walked into her extra room in her apartment. She pulled on a gun holster and equipped herself with her two silver bullet loaded guns. She added a rather large hunting knife to her hip just in case she couldn't get to her guns quick enough. She didn't doubt her aim. The girl had been like a prodigy when handed a gun. She rarely missed the center of her target. And if she missed the target completely, its only because someone shoved her and moved her before she pulled the trigger. She was a damn good shot and she had won quite a good amount of money over the years against bets. Still to this day, people challenged her and she always was the one to walk away smiling, with some extra cash in her pocket. Or a new gun. River left her hair down, knowing that it was a bad idea to do a pony tail, because that means a lot of her hair in a quick to grab spot. She learned the hard way during one hunting trip about that. She left it loose now, so it was harder to grab big handfuls of it. Her blue eyes were framed with her earlier design of a cat eye. No other make up was covering her face, she liked to not wear any, just because her skin was pretty flawless as it was. She pulled on her black combat boots over her skinny jeans and laced them up tight. Her black leather jacket was pulled over a gray v-neck t-shirt and she slide aviators over her blue eyes. She made sure to check the hallway of her apartment complex before walking down the stairs. Her neighbors knew she was a gun freak, but they were covered by her leather jacket, tucked under her arms. She was more concerned about them seeing the larger knife attached to her hip. She was lucky to get into her dark gray 2013 Camaro. The sun was still up considering it was just starting to get around the late afternoon, but it didn't bother her much because her windows were tinted as dark as they could be legally. She threw her stick shift into reverse and backed out, because hitting the clutch and gas. She knew how to drive clutches, and she loved it. She knew the only car she would ever own would be a clutch. She was speeding but she wanted to get to the area as soon as she could. Took her a total of ten minutes to get there, before she parked her car in a safe spot, locked it and started her decent into the forest. She ditched her sunglasses in the car, knowing the cover of the forest would protect her eyes enough. She traveled, with her gun drawn, for about fifteen minutes before she heard the Werewolf. He/she was sniffing around, pawing at the ground. She narrowed her eyes as she moved forward, knowing at any moment that the wolf would be aware of her presence. And when they smelled or heard her, the Werewolf went nuts. Growling viciously and coming into her view. It was big enough that they almost looked eye to eye, and she smirked as the wolf lowered itself, as if ready to pounce. "Finally found you, bastard." She said, before it launched itself at her. She pulled the trigger three times, burying a bullet in each shoulder and one right between its eyes. Thankfully the wolf died before it hit her, but unfortunately, it was a lot heavier than she was expecting. Its dead weight falling on top of her and she fell onto her back, the gun she was holding falling out of her hands. She struggled for a moment, before she was able to wiggle herself from under the wolf. River started picking out the leaves in her hair when she heard something behind her. "Another one?" She thought as she slowly started to bend down to pick up her gun. |
