appearance;; Piers stands above most people, towering at 6"2. He has an athletic, slim build that would make you think that he doesn't have much muscle, but that cannot be further from the truth. All of the years he has spent fighting and capturing dangerous animals has paid off in giving him a brilliant body, that has next to no fat on it whatsoever. Piers has bright green eyes that are clearly distinguishable in both his human and wolf forms. There are bullet scars that decorate his body: three on his lower back which were all done in the same night, and two on his right bicep. There are also two scars that run down his right thigh from a particularly vicious fight that he had with another wolf years ago.
In his wolf form, he is still much bigger than most, with silver, black and white fur streaked across his back and underbelly. His paws are gargantuan, and yep, you guessed it, those bright green eyes are still there. Here is a picture if you wish to see: CLICKY
personality;; Piers has always been known to be the light-hearted joker amongst his family and friends. Because of how easy going and care free the man is, people seem to naturally be drawn to him, making him somewhat popular amongst most. This is because he also gives his time to anyone (as he says himself: "It's not like I haven't got long left to live"), and so he is always a great listener and someone you can turn to when in need.
Piers is also extremely loyal to the ones that he loves and cares about. There is next to no chance of him backing down when protecting someone else. This has often got him in to many fights, most of which he has won, and even though he isn't a confrontational or violent person, he isn't scared of a good scrap every now and then, so long as the fight is fair.
However, Piers isn't always as happy-go-lucky as what he seems; he is easily irritable, especially when he is feeling tired, and often takes his bad mood out on those he cares about. He doesn't actually mean anything by it, and thankfully it doesn't happen often. However, when he is in a bad mood, he acts like a stroppy teenager, sulking and feeling sorry for himself.
family;; Jean Claudette Cleroux -- mother, wolf, alive (119)
Louis Mason Cleroux -- father, wolf, alive (135)
Quentin Cameron Cleroux -- brother, wolf, alive (67)
Raja Tailynn Cleroux -- sister, wolf, alive (88)
Luka Nevada Gibbons -- son, wolf, alive (presumedly) (29)
history;; Born to Jean and Mason on the 6th April 1942 in Homer Alaska, nobody could ever have predicted the things that would happen over the next 72 years.
The Cleroux family, back in the 1400s, was a well known-amongst-werewolves pack that resided just outside of St. Omer, France. They were thought of as werewolf royalty, in fact, and ruled with an iron fist over most packs across the country. Their law was final. However, after a reigning rivalry amongst them and another pack in the town itself, and a small-scale massacre from the Leroux side, they were finally beaten and, as a result, decided to cross the channel in to England to escape from the shame of the defeat.
In the mid 1500's, the family picked up again and decided to move to the newly discovered continent of America, in an attempt to restore some of their power and influence. However, it seemed like many of the existing packs had this same idea, and it turns out that the move didn't improve their prospects one bit.
For the next 400 years, they lived in peace, first along the east coast and then they moved over to the west, before finally moving up and settling in Homer, Alaska in 1820. A large ranch was built to home the massive pack, but this was also around the same time that the new-wave surge of hunters began sprouting up. Eventually, all of the hunters were eradicated, but this left the Cleroux pack at a severe loss of manpower, dropping from a respectable 11 wolves to a meagre 3. Eventually, great-grandfather Cleroux passed away, leaving the two lovers, Jeremiah and Katherine Cleroux, to continue the family name (who was Piers' grandparents).
*anyways, skipping forward to the actual relevant part*
In 1940, two years before Piers' birth, the ranch was half converted in to a reserve for animals too, to try and encourage the preservation of certain species of animal. What was simply Hares and Horses and other minor animals in the first year, turned in to Bears and Wolves in just its second year of operation. The birth of Piers was planned, following the Cleroux tradition of having a new wave of Cleroux wolves born every 100 years, always incorporating three newborns in to the pack.
For the first fifteen years of his life, Piers lived in the shadow of his older sister, Raja, who was the perfect example of what a Cleroux wolf was born to be. A natural born fighter, hunter and spy, Raja ran with the 'big' wolves, whereas Piers would stay at home and help his mother run the reserve and care for the animals. He soon found a love and passion for them, much to the disgust of his father, who banished him from working with the animals in favour of him learning the ways of fighting and hunting. Even though Piers hated it and had no real interest in fighting whatsoever, he took well to the training, and after years of it became a fighter of high ability. Despite this, he would sneak in to see the animals at night and purchased books to teach himself how to care for them. They soon got used to him and seemed to enjoy his visits.
When he turned 18 in 1958, Piers took the compulsory two years training in the army and decided to stay after his training was completed, as a way of escaping the steely clutches of his family and forced pack. After 8 years of making his way up the ranks, Piers got the opportunity to travel abroad and do spy work, in the heat of the Cold War. It was after he actually got out of the country that Piers realized his love of travelling, and after 4 years of spying for the government, he left and decided to travel the world on all of the money he had saved up over the years of working (he hadn't spent much of it at all). Piers decided that Africa was the place he wished to visit the most, and just left, without telling his family of his whereabouts. He would return to them and their strict ways when he was ready, but for then, he wanted to see the world and observe animals. After several weeks of being in the country, he came across a large reserve in Uganda that was thriving, and as a result of his expertise, they decided to hire him. Piers worked this job for years and years, and one day, whilst working with the lions, met a young girl, about the same age as him.
The two hit it off straight away, and eventually fell in love with each other. The two became inseparable, never seen without the other, until 5 and a half years along the line, things went wrong. A particularly jealous man, who happened to be Piers' best friend at the time, told her that he was seeing another woman, and she believed him. Their relationship was pretty turbulent any way, and this tipped them both over the edge. It was during the argument that Piers found out that she was pregnant, and it honestly made him the happiest man alive, to know that he was going to have a child of his own. In an ideal world, it would have been perfect if things went the way that he planned; Piers heard about the birth of the boy from his partners mother, and went to visit them both, hoping to finally get back with her. However, this didn't go to plan, as she asked him to leave after a couple of minutes with his new born son, Luka, and this escalated in to an argument. She told Piers that she didn't want him to be part of 'her' sons life because he was undeserving of such a beautiful treasure, and to never look for them both ever again, and Piers agreed. As much as he hated the fact that he would never ever know his son, he didn't want the boy to be brought up around arguments and hostility, and with Luka's best interests at heart, he fled back to Alaska, heartbroken, and hoping that his family would sympathise and be there for him.
They didn't take to the news and his sudden return well. As a result of him not telling any of them about his leave and running away for so many decades, he got in to a brutal brawl with Raja and Quentin, as they injured him. He managed to escape with his life, after his parents broke the fight up, and he vowed never to return home again. He boarded a train to Massachusetts, with nothing but the clothes he was wearing, and found work at a zoo. He was, however, quickly found out by hunters as he accidentally shifted in daylight after having a mental breakdown, and promptly left after he realized they were beginning to hunt him; he didn't want to kill them, like his family would, so he took himself away from the situation.
It was then that an old friend contacted him, as he began to move to city after city trying to settle down, saying that there was a reserve in a small town called Converse that was falling apart due to a lack of leadership. Piers took it on, and moved there in April 2001, and has stayed there ever since. Under his direction, the reservation has totally changed in its luck, and he has even been given the green light to begin his own "endangered species breeding programme", allowing him to keep more tropical pets alongside the ones he had already. That brings us to now.
