appearance;; Jenny is a pretty girl. She stands at 5'4" and has a slender but athletic build. She keeps her dark hair long and it's usually flowing loose around her face. Her vivid blue eyes are set just a little too close together for her taste, but the stunning color makes up for that imperfection. Her skin is pale and refuses to tan no matter how much time she spends outdoors in the sun. Jen loves art but has no real artistic ability, so she makes up for it with her sense of fashion. It's a new look every day and she can be found wearing anything from sweats to skirts depending on her mood. She has an eye for color and usually comes up with some pretty cute outfits.
personality;; Jen is a bubbly kind of person. Under normal circumstances, she likes to take each moment as it comes and take pleasure in the small things. She doesn't normally let bad things hurt her and if she does, it's not for long. She likes to talk to people no matter who they are and will always help out someone in need if she can. She will surround herself with people and keep herself busy doing things for school. It's a reflex to replace the attention she doesn't get from her parents, and to fill the time she should be spending with them. Normally, though, she has a smile on her face for some reason or another.
It takes quite a bit to really insult Jen. Being an optmist, she'll try to take an insult in the best possible way and only after repeated hurtful things will she take it to heart. Once she does, once there's no doubt that someone thinks badly of her, she will sulk for awhile. She's not all that concerned with keeping up appearances, but she does want to be liked. If someone doesn't like her, she'll usually go out of her way to be nice to them even if they irritate her. She is a firm believer that a small kindness can go a long way for some people.
Underneath the bubbly, outgoing exterior is someone who hides a lot of pain. She doesn't want to push her problems onto others, so she buries the hurt and moves on. This comes from having to keep up appearances in front of her little brother. She's taken on a parental role with him and knows that she can't let herself be irresponsible if she's going to take care of him. It's part of the reason she doesn't drink. Only part, though. She doesn't really like the taste of it either.
Jen definitely has a playful side. She likes to surprise people by saying or doing what they least expect. She's often the one to come up with the best icebreakers. One moment, she'll come off as totally innocent and the next, she's talking like a sailor. She likes proving people wrong and shattering their assumptions, not just about herself, but about other things, too. She's not afraid to speak her mind when it comes down to it, but she does know when to shut up, too. Sometimes, silence is louder than words.
Jen can be extremely stubborn. She isn't one to hold judgments against someone, but once she gets her mind set after something, she won't stop until she gets it... or until her feelings get hurt. Once she gets her feelings truly hurt in her pursuit of something, she'll back off until someone convinces her to go back to her pursuit, or if the gain outweighs the risk.
She can also be a very understanding person. Like I said before, she's not one to make judgments. She accepts people for who they are and if she doesn't understand someone, she knows it's because she hasn't lived their life. She believes there is a reason that people do what they do and she doesn't hold that against them. It also makes her a very forgiving person.

history;; Katherine and Christopher Graber met in college their sophomore year. It wasn't love at first sight. Very far from it. Christopher was a party guy, cocky, arrogant, and prone to using women. Katherine was a humanitarian, a kind soul, but driven by ambition for something more. This isn't to say that Christopher wasn't ambitious, but the two had very different goals in mind for their lives. Throughout college, however, the two kept bumping into each other in classes and even during recreational activities. Christopher became intrigued with Katherine, wanting to make her his next sexual conquest. Katherine, however, had other ideas. The only way she would be with him was if he truly cared for her. And so a courtship began. Christopher had never had trouble getting women, so Kathrine confused him. Her morals and tenacity also made him fall helplessly in love with her.
Three years out of college, after getting their respective careers in order, the two married. Only one year later after an unplanned pregnancy, Jennifer was born. She was a cranky baby, always squalling and never wanting to sleep. It was stressful for the young couple who were both still very focused on their careers. Instead of hiring a nanny, Katherine said she would take more time off work to spend at home. In this time, Christopher matured a lot, even more than he had before. He became very successful at his job, and Katherine was jealous. She'd always been the ambitious one. As soon as Jen was old enough, Katherine went into business with her husband.
Jennifer always had toys growing up. She had more possessions than most children her age. Always the newest clothes, the most advanced technology to play with. She would go to school, play with her friends, then go to a babysitter for the afternoon until her mother could be bothered to look after her. Honestly, Jen was lucky she got dinner at night before bed. For as long as she could remember, she didn't know what it was like to have actual parents. She almost didn't know what her father looked like.
When she was in elementary school, her brother Benjamin was born. He was also the result of an unplanned pregnancy, and was ignored just as much as Jen was. The young girl immediately took her brother under her wing, and it's been like that between the two of them ever since. Jen and Ben were total opposites as babies. Where Jen had been cranky and fussy, Ben had been quiet and he hardly ever cried. When he was very little, Katherine did take some time away from work to look after him, but soon enough, Jen was stuck having to play mother to a toddler without knowing what she was doing. At that point, she was only eight years old.
The babysitter down the street helped out a lot, bringing the kids food and watching out for them. At one point, she even tried to adopt them, but the courts wouldn't allow it. Neither would Christopher and Katherine. Despite not really wanting their kids, they did use them to impress others. The children were trophies, to be displayed and admired, but never interacted with. Jen lost count of how many functions she got dragged to after being stuffed in some kind of frilly dress.
It was only after she entered high school that she began to rebel a little. The girl needed attention from someone, and she didn't know many ways to get it. After awhile, she noticed boys looking at her. She figured out that if she let them do things to her, they would pay attention to her more. It was that attention that she craved. She didn't understand how thoroughly she was gaining a reputation for herself, but her parents had never taught her anything about boys.
In her freshman year, she caught the attention of Cayden Murphy. The two dated for two and a half months before it happened. It was an event that would change Jen's life forever. The two of them slept together, and Cayden, being a virgin at the time, lost control of himself enough that Jen saw what he was. She could see amber-yellow eyes, elongated teeth, and claws. After much freaking out from the both of them, Cayden managed to explain what he was.
It took some time for Jen to accept this new world around her, but after knowing Cayden, she figured werewolves couldn't be all that different from normal people. She continues to be on friendly terms with Cayden to this day, and is doing her best to do well in school, keep her little brother out of trouble, and graduate so she can get out of her parents' house.
