Connie rubbed a hand over her face as she tried not to strangle her students as she ushered them out of the school. The day was over with, but the kids had some hairbrained idea that it'd be fun to annoy her. "Out, out!" She said with a laugh, shooing them out the door and outside. She sighed as they giggled and ran off, waiting for their parents to come pick them up by playing on the playground. She groaned softly as she moved to the staff room and slid inside, praying none of the students came back to bug her.
She was safe in the staff room. Safe.
Yeah, right.
Scowling a little, she grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge and twisted the cap off, taking a huge gulp of the cold water. She rubbed a hand through her tousled hair, trying to get it back into some sort of order. It had gotten out of control when she'd had to chase one of her students earlier in the day to get them back inside. The kid had decided he didn't want to end recess, so took off running. Lucky for her, she was a bit faster than a normal human.
Connie flopped down in one of the chairs. She was half afraid to go back outside in case the kids attacked again. She had no idea what had gotten into them. She heard voices outside, and glanced up, but felt relief when she recognized a couple teachers from her grade. She raised a hand to them in greeting, and went back to her water.
They didn't stay long, talking about a problem student in their class before they left again. Connie was glad for the silence, but thought she heard more footsteps coming down the hall and sighed, realizing her peace would soon be over again.

All in all if Leo had to be truthful, for his first day back to work after the small bought of Flu that he seemed to have catch wasn’t that bad. He had introduced himself to his new students and had told them all a small bit about himself before slowly going over everything that they should have already been learning. Deciding that the best way to figure out just where they were in their lessons he had surprised them all by telling them that they would be having a test tomorrow. Of course it was probably the best way for the students to already start hating him. New teacher and already giving them a test on his second day.
Like most students at the sound of the final bell it was like a herd of wild animals scrambling together to shove their papers, notebooks and text books into their bags before running out of the room. Leo had to raise his voice above the excited chatter to remind them all to study for tomorrows test. Slowly gathering his own personal effects, he placed most of his paperwork into his briefcase before grabbing his keys and placing them within the pockets of his jacket. Turning off all the lights to his class room he exited the room and made his way towards the teachers’ lounge.
Just as he was about to enter the lounge he was approached by a student who was trying her best to get out of taking the test. “I’ve already told you that I need this test to see where you’ve left off with your studies.” He said as he opened the door and stood about half way into the room. “If you were also paying attention to what I was saying in class Miss. Gich you would have heard me state that you are permitted to use your notes.” He said with a small smile at the look the teenager gave him after hearing that she had been caught with her cell phone out. “I’ll see you in class tomorrow.” He stated as he stepped all the way into the room and closed the door. “G’day.” He said with a small nod at the only person in the room.

Connie was vaguely amused as she heard the voices in the hallway, then more clearly as the door opened and a man she didn't recognize came part-way in, talking to one of his students. Connie sat quietly, watching absently. The conversation was amusing to Connie, who had just gotten out of her own spot with troublesome students. Not that she was complaining too much. She loved her job, and wouldn't trade it for the world.
On the other hand, she might trade some of her students to that bitchy woman in the classroom across from hers. She hated that woman... She was constantly going on about how Connie needed to find a good man and settle down to have her own kids. Oh, how wonderful motherhood was and how her "birthing years" were going away. She was so damn annoying.
Connie sat quietly until the guy shut the door. She smiled when he noticed her and acknowledged her, and she nodded in return.
"Troublesome student?" Connie asked, smiling. "I have a whole class full of them." She waggled her water bottle at him, shaking her head. "Feel relieved you don't have to deal with third graders. They've decided that ganging on on the teacher is a new fun game." She ran a hand again through her hair and sighed. It was hopelessly tangled without a brush.
"I'm Connie, by the way. Connie Marshall. I teach third grade." She smiled. "Are you new here? I don't think I've seen you around before."

Leo walked over to the other side of the table before placing his briefcase down on the floor next to an empty chair. He then walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed a red water bottle and a brown paper bag out. He chuckled lightly at her statement. “Oh you know how it goes. New teacher in the class room and we’re going to see how much we can take advantage of him.” he stated as he pulled out a banana before peeling the skin back a bit and taking a bite. He then settled himself down in his chair as he opened up his briefcase and pulled a few piles of paperwork out. Leo liked to make his tests up by hand and each class would have a different test, it made cheating impossible.
“I use to teach elementary once before, a few years back.” He said with a small smile as he took a quick sip of his water. “This will be the first time I’ll be actually teaching high school students.” He said with a small shrug of his shoulders. He pointed slightly at her as he took another bite of his banana. “They start throwing items at you?” He asked as he took in her appearance.
He gave her a wide smile as she introduced herself. “I am new here. I actually got here at the beginning of the week. Today is my first day here, my luck an all ended up catching the Flu and had to call off.” He stated with a small laugh. “I’m Leo, Leo Reid. An I am the new History teacher for the senior year.”

"Mhmm..." Connie sighed as she remembered that time when she was new and all her students tried to take advantage of her as well. She had quickly put an end to that, but still. It was an annoying and amusing time. "Some of the things these kids come up with are... Interesting to say the least." She grinned at him and shrugged, taking another pull off her water bottle.
"Oh, you have? Well then I guess you know what it's like." Connie ran another hand threw her hair, and finally gave up. Without a brush, her hair would never settle down. "I've never taught high school myself. I've always preferred the younger children to the teenagers. Too much attitude." She shrugged and leaned back in her chair, yawning. She glanced back down at him, curious. He smelled like a werewolf, but at the same time, he didn't. She frowned a little in concentration, but couldn't pick up anything else. The scent wasn't hers, it was coming from him. Was he recently bitten?
"Hmm? Oh, no." She laughed as she tugged at her hair. "This happened because of the wind outside. I was trying to get the kids out the door and to their parents when they decided it was bug the teacher time." She shrugged and let her hand fall back to the table and smiled at him. "Ten kids all ganging up on me asking random silly questions. It's some new game they all made up I think." She shrugged again and looked back at him.
She smiled at him, but perked up. "It's nice to meet you, Leo," She said in greeting, but she was focused on his comment about the flu. She was betting that was no flu he had. She didn't think he knew anything about it. "The flu? That's awful. At least you're feeling better now." She smiled kindly at him, not really sure how to break the news. She couldn't just come out and say it, he'd think her insane. "So how are you enjoying Converse and Whitebridge so far? Done anything interesting yet?"

He frowned slightly at the truth of her words. Oh yes he knew some of the things that these students came up with. Half of their crazy ideas even he himself had to stop and think about it, and at times, question just how the hell they had came up with the idea in the first place. “I was sorta hoping that they had grown out of that faze by now.” He stated as he tugged at his earlobe lightly. Here he was a brand new teacher and on his first day on the job he’s already told them that they will be having a test the next day. Definitely wasn’t setting a good image up of himself within their minds was he?
“I’ve been slowly making my way up the grades.” He stated with a small shrug of his shoulders as he took out another sheet of paper and began to create a second test sheet. “I started off with Elementary students, after a few years I made my way up to middle school.” He paused slightly to glance back up at her with a small smile. “Now I find myself here.” He took another sip of his water before tossing his banana skin into at the other side of the room. “Who knows perhaps after a few years and more schooling on my part maybe I’ll shoot for college professor. Not quite sure yet.”
Leo gave her a wide smile when she commented on his previous statement of him being sick. “Oh I feel like a brand new man.” He stated with a small chuckle before waving his hand dismissively in the air. “I know a lot of people say that after being cooped up for several days when their sick. Worse case of the Flu I’ve ever had, hopefully I won’t catch that bug again.” Leo shook his head lightly at her last two questions. “Didn’t have much time to get out and do much of anything when I got here. I got sick so soon that this is really my first day out on the town.” He shrugged his shoulders lightly. “Plenty of time for exploring later, I was actually going to walk around Whitebridge for a bit before heading home once I finished up with these test papers.”
