Jason is first and foremost the Alpha of the Orion pack. He is very laid back, though, for the most part. He'll tease the young ones to death and do it with a smile, knowing that they, too, know that he's just messing with them. For someone so huge, he knows his size and is very aware of it, careful when rough-housing with people. He takes his status in the pack very seriously and will be ready for action at the drop of a hat, even if you think the guy is dead asleep. His instincts are impeccable, having honed them over so many years. His first priority is the pack and especially protecting the young ones. He is definitely aware of all of the pack members' lives and families outside of the pack and keeps his eye on the ones that have...less than great parental units. He takes that stuff personally. He hates getting angry and being confrontational but will if he has to. He doesn't like to, but he will keep the younger wolves in line when its necessary. He hates disrespect in all forms. He's respectful and expects respect from others as well, even the kids and will get in their face if they slip at that. He's also the one that likes teaching the young ones new things like building something or patrolling. He's even started to teach some of them self-control techniques, though that one is slow-going but he's patient.
Jason will talk to anyone about anything, knowing when to be serious and when its ok to let himself relax. He doesn't judge people (or tries not to, anyway) but if you consistently show him that he has to keep an eye on you and can't trust you then he will watch you and probably won't trust you so much. He's not an idiot. He tries to remain approachable, though. He'd really much prefer to be the adult that the kids trust and come to when they need someone to rely on. He's old-fashioned and a gentleman with women.
He likes to drink but never to excess. Drunks annoy him to death and he would never allow his own senses to be clouded to that extent. He's good at self-control which is the main reason he loves building things and weightlifting. Those are his escapes for his negative emotions. If you see him weightlifting and building something in the same day...well, worry. That means something is probably very wrong. Or he's just busy, you never really know until you ask. (= He doesn't lose control often and if he feels like he's close to that point, you'll get a warning, but probably just one. At that point, he figures that's your own fault for not listening to him.

[/font] Well, his friends list would, obviously, start with the pack. He loves each and every member and they are his family and his life. He doesn't begrudge the former members of the pack, either. They may be separate but they're still friends until they prove otherwise. As long as you're not around to cause trouble or hurt anyone he cares for then he'll at least give you a chance.

[/font] Jason was married for a super long time and his wife died in childbirth, along with their child, so it would have to be a super special woman who would capture his attention and keep it. And a relationship with him would take time and would probably go slow. His first priority is the pack and everyone and everything else is second. If he did fall for someone, she would have to be a wolf. He saw what falling for a human did to the pack and he will never let anything like that happen again, especially with him at fault.

i think cayden looks up to jason as a father figure, especially now that he's in the alpha position. he can get close to jason in a way he couldn't get close to andy (and not just because i played them both) but because jason is a different kind of alpha.

Oh, absolutely! Jason's always tried to keep an eye on Cayden and Carter both, especially knowing their issues with their dad and what an ass he is. J has always taken responsibility for the younger ones, to a degree but I think with Cayden and Carter it's different. He worries about them more and is a bit more protective with the heightened potential of them getting hurt by the drunk. He has his eye on them. I can definitely see Jason and Cayden's relationship growing in a more fatherly/son kind of way. J's personality is just that way so it would make sense.

[/size][/font] I think I finally figured out how to say what I was trying to say... When Andy was alpha, Cayden didn't know any other alpha so he thought everything was alright, but there was this sense of awkwardness for him. Then with Andy totally botching up the job, that feeling increased. But when it comes to Jason, Cayden trusts him implicitly and I think Cayden will mature because of it. There is no "Oh, well, Andy has it wrong and it should be this way" and tempting him to rebel against orders or whatnot. It's "Oh, Jason knows what he's doing so I should listen." It'll be awkward at first because of the transition to two packs, but yeah... definitely see them growing closer. [/blockquote][/blockquote] |

Yeah, things will definitely be different than they were with Andy. Jason was a born werewolf so he's a bit more instinctual and reactive but not necessarily in a bad way. He just doesn't need to think things through in a human way before responding. He'll just react and know what to do based on what the wolf inside is telling him. He also runs things more like a family in a way (now I don't know how to word this part lol) but Jason's style is different than Andy's. I think J isn't as worried about being disobeyed because he has respect and experience in what he does and who he is. Yeah, I definitely see them bonding, too.

Now, these two are either gonna be a near miss or a big miss. Jackson usually isn't on /too/ terrible a standing with the pack since he's not exactly a good hunter. But he is a hunter. Maybe before Jason became alpha and before Jackson was a hunter, I could see them having been kinda friendly. Then basically everything goes south. Jackson wouldn't really know why Jason would suddenly snub him, but it'd be one of those weird tension things. After all, big boss alpha man shouldn't be buddying up to hunters too much.
jess & jason -- !
Jess has always been really hard to judge before she interacts with someone. So I'm really not sure how she's going to get along with Jason. What I do know is towards the end she was getting really discontent with Andy's leadership and she strongly dislikes Angel. So the fact that she can stay with the pack and not have to deal with either of them any longer is actually good for her. Unlike most of the wolves I think she's taking more of a "good riddance" attitude than that of betrayal interms of the split. It did, however, make her revaluate her life in terms of her own family, and now that she's no longer a cop she felt comfortable enough stepping up to be a delta, since they're sorely needed.
tiff & jason -- !
This is another one that's kind of hard to judge for me. I haven't had Tiff interact with adults all that much. On one hand, she really really really wants to earn rank so she'll try to be on her best behavior around him, if not occasionally step out of line for acting like a delta when she's only a kappa. On the other, she's highly independent so she won't take too lightly to Jason treating her like a little kid. She also refuses to talk too much on her parents divorce and the pack splitting, so it would be really interesting if he ever caught her being a little more vulnerable. Oh, and I can also see the possibility of her maybe crushing on him at some point, silly high school whimsy.

GARRETT TAYLOR ANDREWS IS MY - -
okay so I haven't really any solid idea for these two yet but they will have to meet. Garrett is an ex marine who doesn't fully understand what is happening to him yet, who killed his commanding officer when he first shifted and is now in a fair lot of trouble. He's thus far very uncontrolled but it's not out of spite or anything, just that he's very new and under a god awful amount of stress. He's going to attract the pack pretty quickly, and that means he's going to wind up being a problem for Jason. He wont be too immediate to join the pack either having very little idea what a pack is or what his options even are, but if something isn't done he's also very likely to expose them or hurt a pack member. So, I'm not sure what Jason will do but I thouhgt I'd drop by here and see if you have an idea's or anythign to add to that and so forth!

Yeah, this one could be weird lol but in a fun way. Jason would see him as a threat and would keep an eye on him but not as a high priority or anything. Its not like he would alert the pack and look over his shoulder. But yeah, this would be awkward and tense at best.

Jason would definitely appreciate the help and just having another adult around. lol But yeah, J's pretty laid back when the pups aren't pushing his buttons. They could do a thread with talking about pack security stuff and new rules or whatever or it could just be them talking about all the changes in general.

Knowing Jason he would probably talk to her like he talks to Luk but a lot less stern and frowny. lol He likes to try to help the kids and he would love it if Tiff would open up. He keeps tabs on everyone so he would know about her family situation, at least in general. Like, he would know about the divorce but nothing specific. lol It would be cute if she got a crush on him. If Tiff has been in the pack her whole life then J would have known her forever. Same with any pack that was born and raised pack. J is oooooold lol. J would also be willing to teach her what she needs to know to be a good delta, especially when he notices that she wants to be good at stuff like that.

I honestly have no idea about this one. Jason is all about his pack. They're family after he lost his wife and child and he wouldn't take kindly to a threat amongst them. On the other hand, he would want to take responsibility for the new wolf because someone would have to teach him stuff but he wouldn't know where to keep Garrett. He would be leery about having him in the pack house with all the kids. Yeah, I can definitely see Garrett being a problem for JJ. He would want to help but would be torn.

Garrett + JasonYeah, see the problem is Garrett's not a bad guy. He's not there looking to cause trouble, he's just there because he has no where else to go. Though when he loses control doesn't just go into a bad mood and it's not easily fixed...and the guy is a trained solider. Oh can't you just taste the difficulties! *pets poor Jason*

The thing is that Jason is very far from being like Andy. Jason is more personal. He was very closely raised with humans and is more in touch with his humanity than most born wolves. He would probably let Garrett stay and keep an eye on him and train him and all but Garrett might find himself a resident of the cells in the basement, as much as Jason despises those damn cells. It would only be until he completely trusts Garrett and thinks he has control over himself. He would definitely sit down and talk to Garrett about this and make sure he understands why it would be that way. Jason's not a jerk. lol

Mmm. I think in the beginning it's going to be pretty boring for these two. Jess is adjusting to everything still, and she tends to try and keep very professional when it comes to deal with the higher ranks. That being said, Jess is very uncomfortable with her new rank and doesn't quite know what to do with herself half the time. Stray werewolves especially tend to put her on edge. It'll be interesting to see how Jason handles her when her mood starts sliding south. Andy had a habit of pushing the wrong buttons with Jess.

Tiff's family situation is no secret, specifics included. It was a really messy divorce. She resents both her parents. And they were both pack (her mother still is), so Tiff has been part of the pack since she was born. But yeah, with the change in power structure and stuff, I can see the whole Jason being viewed in a new light thing maybe sparking a crush. Nothing serious, but enough to want to be on her best behavior around him and try too hard. And delta training would be awesome. She's determined to move up in rank.

i think nikki would be slightly skeptical about Jason, having liked andy as an alpha pretty well, but that doesn't mean to much. certainly he would be a fatherly figure to her given that he is an alpha, and she certainly wouldn't do anything dumb to get on his bad side (except maybe accidentally having a prank meant for somene else spring on him?). i don't really know =| i can't really think of anything very detailed.

Yeah, here's hoping. Jess is reluctant as hell to talk about her feelings, but once she's already started to break she becomes a little more willing. I'm thinking maybe they can have a talk after a particularly strenuous day for her? Once she starts feeling like her pack duties are starting to get overwhelming? Be kinda nice to see them try and have a little heart to heart. Course, might be a good idea to test them in the icebox first 'cause Jess is the hardest of my characters to judge and knowing her she could end up doing the exact opposite of what I think she will.

I'm not really sure how things would go between these two, but Ava is a young human fascinated by the wolves with little fear of them. She's not likely to give them away, Collin is far more likely to do that xD, but she does know a number and that number just seems to be growing. how she'd come to his attention I'm not sure but I've just got this feeling that these two have plotting potential somewhere
