Ok, so I finished that emulation thing based on Lera... Let me know what you think? (:
To run or not to run – the question of my life: To find a secret sanctuary Within the quiescence of the forest, Or to stay, frozen with bloodcurdling fear And face the demon I am forced to call my father.
To move, to let my feet carry me – Carry me from the raging tampers, The torrent of threats and escalating danger That swells and grows with each passing day Ripping the fear from emotional depths I never imagined my heart held.
To flee, to run – To go, maybe even too far, but always having to return. The fear grows; what new dangers will face For avoiding a wrath, now provoked by disobedience Makes me hesitate and ponder. What will he do? It keeps me from going back.
Who would honestly want to go back And face whatever violence may come The verbal threats from his mouth The attempt to force me to stay The crescendo of his anger The climax reaching an end when pain is inflicted? And then the run. The run that once again saves me from danger, But once again fuels the rage burning within him, Making my face more scarce to him.
Who wouldn’t want to take refuge in the forest To wander aimlessly through winter-dead trees, But feeling nervous and alert because of the quiet. The rush of being followed when no one else is there Taking comfort in loneliness While being surrounded by complete emptiness Wishing to just disappear Within the reaching arms of the trees?
Thus the loneliness begins to hang heavy on me, And thus the needy human nature Drags me back into reality And I’m once again finding myself back in town. With this realization, my determination is damaged, And I am slipping back through the Gates of Hell.
