"Yes, we will." He noticed the confusion in the kid's face and knew that, technically, the boy hadn't agreed to anything yet but he did need an education and if he wasn't going to attend public school then, obviously, they had to find an alternative. Luk wouldn't learn anything in an environment he wasn't comfortable in and Jason would never have the heart to push the boy into attending school in a public setting like that if it terrified him....and it clearly did.
"No public schools." The term "real schools" made the man chuckle a bit. "You'll have to get a 'real' education. Even home schooling is monitored by the state but it'll just be me and you, if that's what you mean. And the pack house has plenty of room for us to have some privacy, if that makes you feel better." That was the point anyway; making Luk comfortable. It would be the only way the kid would learn anything and J's primary concern was making sure the kid learned enough to succeed.

Lukan spoke curtly, and with a growl hidden beneath his words. "Don't say I 'have to' do anything." He jerked his chin up defiantly, settling his often narrowed eyes on Jason's. The temperamental teen kept his gaze locked for nearly a minute before he finally let the glare slip from his eyes. The idea of getting an education was interesting enough to quickly subside his anger, for now anyway. Now with only a frown left on his face (another feature on Luk's face that seldom ceased), he set to pondering the decision before him. It didn't take him very long though. Some part of him had made the decision long ago; he wanted very much to not feel stupid or inadequate. Every child should have felt the same way. "I could... try it." He shrugged in an attempt to look indifferent when his mind said otherwise.
