Alex nodded, yes... he expected he wouldn't be getting that run. "Heh, don't worry about it." he said looking at Connie with a small smile, but the concern was still in his eyes. As she spoke of directing him to his home, Alex's eyes looked out the windshield, "Take a left up ahead and pretty much just keep going straight. It's not really on a road, but a dirt path that goes out into a field, but you don't have to drive out there... I wouldn't want your car to get stuck. I can walk." he smiled a bit more but it didn't last long and soon faded as he leaned back in his seat strapping into his seat belt and waited patiently for Connie to start driving.
He glanced over at her briefly as she talked about how it would scar. Oh yes, he was sure it would. His gun wound had scared, though until he found out about the silver thing, he was sure it wouldn't. "I'll fade over time." he chuckled, "I'm sure..." scars normally did. Sure it took a year or so, but.... everything faded in time. Figuring he'd do it now, Alex took out his cellphone and added in Connie's number to his contacts. He'd be sure to give her a call within the week to ask how she was doing. He had an odd feeling though, like he was being watched. Nah... perhaps it was just his paranoia from earlier.

Connie glanced at Alex, but gave him a faint smile when she saw the concern on his face. "It's not my first run-in with silver," She told him gently. "I'm used to it. Don't worry too much, once I get home I can bandage it." She reached over with one hand and patted his arm as she drove, following his directions to where he said his new home was.
"Ah, yeah, that dirt path would be nasty right now. All this snow would have it muddy and half frozen." She shrugged. "Is there somewhere I can go that's a bit closer? I don't want to make you walk that far." She laughed. "After you punching that asshole redneck, I feel like I owe you a ride a little closer to your home." Few people had helped Connie out like that. She was pretty good at fighting by herself, but she was taken by surprise. She probably would have had a black eye if Alex hadn't stepped in.
"Yeah, it might," She said with a shrug. "Sometimes they don't. It depends on how deep it is, though I doubt this one would last more than a year or so." She wasn't worried about it, just a little annoyed. "Here, we're almost there. This was the place I was thinking of."
